Joan Humphrey-Long Gault '36

Joan Humphrey-Long Gault ‘36 was one of five women to graduate from the medical college of Johns Hopkins University in 1940. She was involved in early research on cardiac catheterization techniques and was a professor of experimental surgery at Temple University. After a 45 year medical career, she founded Interfaith Caregivers, an organization which provides assistance and services to the elderly.
