Description

A silver bracelet engraved with "CDR James Hickerson 12-22-67". Lt. Cmdr. James Hickerson was a Prisoner of War during the Vietnam War. On December 22, 1967, a surface-to-air missile hit his A-7 aircraft near Haipong, North Vietnam, forcing Hickerson to eject. Hickerson was captured and spent six years in Hanoi prison. He and 590 other soldiers were released as part of Operation Homecoming in 1973.
