Epilogue

Final Thoughts from Mary Walters Petricoin:

It’s exciting to realize the ways in which Wilson supported the arts and alternative ways of learning at a time when that was not necessarily the mainstream. I think the three of us all benefitted in different ways from the college’s “forward” thinking. It’s fascinating to see the different paths we have taken in pursuit of life and learning, especially in light of the traditional upbringing and mores of our times.

The bottom line is we survived… and thrived… each in our own way. We kept on putting one foot in front of the other, leaping if necessary!

As Helen Tamiris used to say, “UP THE GLASS MOUNTAIN!”
