Ella Everitt '88
Ella Everitt ’88 graduated from the Woman’s Medical College of Philadelphia in 1891. She became the assistant physician and gynecologist to the State Hospital for the Insane in St. Peters, Minnesota. In 1897 she was named Chief Resident Physician of the Woman’s Hospital in Philadelphia. She was one of the first two alumnae representatives to the Board of Trustees and was invited to become President of the College in 1915. She declined because of her love for medicine. She was tragically killed in an automobile accident in 1922 while on her way to perform surgery.
