Diane Davidson '69
Diane Davidson ‘69 earned her Ph.D. in biology from the University of Utah in 1976. She is the recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship and numerous National Science Foundation grants. She has also had support for her research from the US State Department, the US Department of Energy, the US Department of Agriculture and the National Geographic Research Committee. Her work focuses on several areas of ecology including the evolutionary ecology of ant-plant interactions, granivory in desert ecosystems, geographical ecology and experimental community ecology. Her research has taken her to tropical rainforests in Central and South America and to Australia, Papua New Guinea, Malaysia and Borneo.
